I recently purchased some Ford Racing 9mm Plug Wires for my 66 FE 352 and found out they won't fit my female type cap. Is there a post type cap I can use on the original FE distributor?

yes there is buy the cap for a 351m and get the adapter ring it clips right in i did the oposite to a friends car i put a fe cap on the 351 dizzy i just unhooked the cap and adapter ring then put on the cap.

I put one on a 390 here a while back. I went to the wrecking yard and got one off of an early 80's model pick up with a 302, and then bought that cap that gas hog mentioned, and it worked like a charm. I think the truck that I got my cap adapter from was an 84 model F150 with a 302.
The adaptor ring goes between the distributor cap and the distributor. You have 2 little clips that hold your cap in place now. Those 2 clips will snap on to the adaptor ring, and it will have 2 more clips on it. The 2 clips on the adaptor ring will snap on to the cap. It's just a little piece of plastic like the distributor cap that is made kind of like a funnel. It's big on one end, small on the other, and hollow in the middle.
