2003 Explorer 4.6 Timing Chain Noise

Does anybody have any experience with a noise that sounds like a bad bearing or an engine without any oil (which it does) during startup? Dealer and Ford Engineer claim it's normal, I'm not convinced. The vehicle has 36,000 miles and this has been going on for about 5,000 miles.

Mine did that once and I think it ended up being the oil filter. It went away after changing the oil and filter so that's why I thought maybe the filter. Never happened again.
