Fuel Leak HELP !!!!!!!!

I have a 1987 Bronco 302 and a C6. I have a fuel leak coming from the Black container that is in line before the fuel pump on the frame rail. What is this thing? Before I take it off and disassemble it. All help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about the fuel filter?

It's a metal container about 3" diameter, 3" long with a 5/16" nipple out both ends. It should have plastic clip on both ends attaching the fuel lines to the filter.

I also think it is the f/filter, some are a plastic container with a detachable screw on base, the O ring deteriorates causing a leak
