car show in fairfield ohio, anyone coming??

there is a car show in fairfield ohio at boitnotts on the corner of by pass 4 and port union Rd on friday night. there will be custom cars and trucks. last year there was a guy from Ford or KY speedway there and was picking some of the trucks to show down at the race track at the truck race in july. i hope he is there this year. i will also have my custom speaker box installed for that show. that will be the first place it will be shown. i hope some of the members can make it there. it starts at 6 and lasts till about 9 or 10 on friday june 17th.

I might try and make it down. Maybe even bring my son (who already likes cars -go figure...).

thats cool, i hope more will respond to this thread. i got my new speaker box in the truck tonight and it sounds pretty good even without the port tubes.

I will try to bring the bird down on friday if the go- track gets rained out for practice, or if my son does not feel up to it, long story ,

lol, bring the bird. although the go cart looks pretty good. the date for the truck race is july 9th.

If i can cure or calm the "death shimmy" that the 69 has developed at speeds over 60 i will try and be there..75 southbound is not a merciful place to be in a 36 year wounded truck LOL I finally got the truck back a couple of weeks ago and havent had much of a chance to really do anything to it..

well..spent a little time under the truck (first time).. 4 pretty badly dry rotted tires (knew it needed new ones, no idea how bad they really were) and the drivers side front is cupped very badly, time for suspension work i guess..the rust underneath is pretty severe, like its rusting from the inside out..perhaps i have bitten off more than i can chew on this one??

you might have. it is going to need alot of work. its just a matter of if you are willing to put the time, money, and work into it.

Well, been looking for an excuse to get a new welder LOL, did a little parts shopping on blue oval, about 450 dollars worth of sheet metal, as good as it runs and the nearly perfect interior i think its a worthwhile project. guess time will tell

just a thought for you, old iron is getting harder and harder to find , it would be well worth keeping, flat fender *****'s are cool.
