6" LIFT NOT RIGHT?

I had a fabtech 6" lift installed today with 18x10 wheels and procomp 13.5 x-terains and the back doesn't sit like the front does. The shop that did the lift said that they dont make a bigger blocks for the back yet. Is there anyway to make the back level with the front? I don't think the truck looks right.

Thanks

First, let me say that i agree with you. That being said, I think it's because nobody sees it as a problem. The kit is made that way on purpose...it's called "pre-runner" style. The theory is that the front of the truck is the only part that takes the majority of the bumps running in hills in the desert. I agree, it looks bad, and seems pointless, but almost all of the kits out there do the same thing. You should be able to find some lift blocks for the rear though, but don't quote me on that.

Yep, the pre-runner look seems kind of gay to me. I hope someone comes out with some blocks soon because It really ruins the look of the truck in my opinion. If anyone knows of a fix PLEASE let me know!

Thanks

Two reasons why I installed the 4 inch Rancho lift. First, the truck is level - no prerunner look. Second, no added spacer to the driveline, as is the case with most 6 inch lifts. With all the problems I've been reading regarding vibration, possibly linked to the driveshaft, I chose not to install the 6 inch lift. I'm sure vibration is not an issue with the 6 inch lift, but Murphy's Law always seems to find me now and again. And another reason is with several thousand dollars invested, I could not afford something to go wrong. (Tires are 315/70/17 BFG's - with no rub).

Just my two cents.

Steve

I had a similar "problem" with my CST lift, and was able to get one inch larger blocks from the manufacture. I believe Fabtech takes out the stock block with stop and replaces the whole thing with their single block. I suggest figuring out what the exact size block you need by putting a jack under the back until it looks right to you. If Fabtech does not offer a larger one, then using the stock one along with CST's blocks may be an option. Take a look at my truck, and if you need a measurement of the block let me know.

Nice truck bro. I think it needs to go up 1.5" in the back to level it out. Since I'm not familiar with these suspensions, how hard would it be to fab up a new thicker block?

A little bit of a pain, due to the fact the blocks on top have two alignment holes and two similar "pins" on the bottom. This is the reason I went my route. Also check to see if your U-bolts are long enough for the extra height you want.

Maybe a pro comp or skyjacker add a leaf would do the trick. I think they lift the rear 1- 1.5 inch.
