I came from owning an 11 Second 03 Ford Lightning, I spent thousand of dollars on mods, tuning, etc to get it into the 11's. Sold the truck and replaced it with my 05 Lariat CC 4x4 Powerstroke due to the dirt road that takes us out to our new home.

I cannot get racing at the track out of my mind and am not going to build another Lightning. I know that diesel engines can be modded to make stupid amounts of HP/Torque, what is the maximum these motors will handle before venting the block? I was thinking of trying to pick up a used F250 Regular cab, 4x2, automatic, 3.73's, 6.0L or 7.3L ( Which has more potential? ) and build me another 1/4 mile truck.

Also for the big trucks ( Crew Cab 4x4's ) here with mods, anyone run theirs stock in the 1/4 and what did you run? What did you run after mods? Any idea what they actual weight is of these trucks are as well?
