and the cobra r also has oiling mods done to it. so how do you even compare the two you can't.

waimea, the owners manual does not say to use a synthetic oil so i have no clue where you got that from. it only reccomends ford 5w20 synthetic blend or a ford spec 930 oil.

BTW, your aboslutely wrong. All the Amsoil XL oils are API certified, and "XLM" is the Amsoil part number for the 5W20 XL oil. "XLF" is the 5W30, "XLT" is the 10W30, and "XLO" is the 10W40. I have the Amsoil brochure in PDF format on this product line and that's where I got the information.

As far as Amsoil being MLM, that's neither here nor there. Murray's Autoparts in MI, OH, and IL stock Amosil, and that's about 100 stores, and Belle Tire also stocks Amsoil products in their retail stores in MI and OH, and that's about 98 stores.

My dad has a 2001 f150 5.4 and has used 5w/30 since new 120.000km not a prob runs and drives like new, I thought he was using 5w20 all this time but he said every oil change since new its been 5w30 and like I said no problems, so thats proof in the puding its all bs i think.

I'm sorry, YOU ARE WRONG!...Amsoil only has 5 oils that are API certified, check out the URL that I posted!!!!
