Why is my album being hidden?

Why is my album being hidden?
I have received a second notice that my album for my 1967 Ford F100 has been hidden. I blew it off the first time and changed the setting, but now that I received it again I'm wondering what's going on? It doesn't break any of the rules as I know it. What's the deal?

Please do not "blow off" a notice from the forum administration. That can lead to a lot of problems. That album is considered to be a tech post album since it is made up of mainly tech pics. Check with the gallery guidelines in this forum. If you have a system problem please use the support link. I see that you removed the hidden mark again. I just re-marked it hidden, normally we delete albums that are made visible again after being hidden.

There are 2 threads attached to the top of this forum that deal with this question
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/14-expensive-trailer.html
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=88993
We just had a user complain because his were deleted.
He was trying to sell his truck with photos from here.

I chose to "blow off" the original notice because it didn't make any sense and I assumed it was some mistake or misunderstanding. I'm a long time member of this site, not some fresh kid, so please don't talk down to me.
After reviewing the links listed in this post I see now that you classifiy project pics as "tech pics". Two problems with this, first it's vague and confusing and open to interpretation. And when you make that judgement without explaining it, it leads to further confusion.
And secondly, what qualifies as a project? Any vehicle that still requires some work? My truck is legal and driven regularly. It's complete. I don't have pics of a disassembled motor or something of the sort.
If you only want galleries and albums of trucks that are completely restored and complete then that's fine, I abide by the rules of this site. But I believe your rules need some clarification.

We can not provide clear rules that will cover every situation. That is why the guidelines say:
"This is a busy site with several hundred user registrations each day.
It takes work to keep it running smoothly. If a moderator asks you to
stop doing something please comply with the request. Just because
something isn't listed in these guidelines doesn't mean its acceptable
and we handles issues on a case-by-case basis."
Please ask before "blowing off" a notice next time.

Yes, you can not provide clear rules for every situation and I completely understand the authority of this site to do as they see fit. But that doesn't mean you can't try and make the rules and instructions as clear and as complete as possible. I believe this is an area that major improvement could be made.
Now, considering the case-by-case basis, in this case is my album still considered a tech album? If so, could you explain why?

JD,
Your album is Only Hidden from the main gallery page.
It is NOT hidden from view by anyone.
It is completely accessible by a user clicking your gallery link.
Why some users seem to think this means:
*No one can see it because it was Hidden*
I don't know why
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=88993
We hide albums from the main gallery page because they Don't fit into the " Calendar Worthy " look.
That's all.
I expect all users who create a gallery to understand the content guideline's of the user gallery feature.
To aid users in this I have the thread as mentioned above for their viewing.
I apologize for any mis-understanding.
I wanted a *Comment window* for Reason why it's hidden in the Adminstration panel when I hide albums so the user gets the reason as the album is actually being hidden.
Like I stated earlier.
I had to a delete an album twice because a user without any posts on the site was trying to use the user gallery to sell his truck.
He complained because I locked him out after the 2nd time.

Thank you for the further explanation. I guess "Calendar Worthy" escaped my attention, I didn't realize the restrictions were that tight. To say it's not "Calendar Worthy" is more clear and understandable than to claim they're "Tech Pics". A comment window such as you mentioned would be helpful. I'm not trying to cause a stink, just didn't understand.
I, for one, like looking at the not as "Calendar Worthy" vechicles, seeing the potential and what happens to vehicles over time, etc. But maybe I'm alone on that.
Not sure what having to delete someone else's gallery has to do with mine, other than to point out the difficulties and challenges presented to a moderator and the management of this site. I know all too well about the responsiblity, having served as a moderator on other web sites before. As I said, not trying to be a problem, just wanted some clarification. Thanks.
