Blue Blood is starting off with a positive reputation.

2.0 simplified?

Have my hands on a 1983 Ranger with a 2.0l basic truck no real extras. I was hoping for some advice on simplifing the engine with a point-type distributor and a plain carb. If anyone has an idea on the parts exchange I would be greatful. I'm put together a diesel engine to transplant later as a WVO test.
