Plastic moldings fading from sun!

Got a detailing question. What does everyone clean the plastic moldings on their truck with (plastic bed caps, wheel trim, mirrors)? I've had my FX4 for a year now and all I do is wash the truck. Well, I live in sunny Florida and it looks like the sun is starting to fade my black plastic trim. Is there anything out there to protect the plastic trim without drying it out and making it crack? Would using Armor All protect the plastic from the sun and keep it from fading? Thanks for any advice!

"Wax as you Dry", I buy it from WalMark, Read plastic bottle, forget who makes it, sprays on, wipes right off. I apply this to the entire truck after every wash.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the responses. I needed some feedback as to what everyone else was using. I can't let the sun beat up on my truck!

I use Turtel Wax Formula 2001 on my 04 SCAB and it keeps everything looking good. I use it on my tires, all plastic trim, the rubber around the windows, and the interior.

Does this stuff last longer than Armor all and similar products?

I work at a used car dealership and we use this blue coral bumper re-newer for plastic bumpers and moldings. it protects plastic from uv rays, and makes them look healthy again. also if theyre really faded or fading fast go to a west marine or boat shop and pick up some hd plastic cleaner/polish. good luck-Massdog

i used to use mothers back to black....but i switched to meguieres natural shine...it last longer, goes on easier, a little bit goes farther, and it gives it a deeper black shine but does not look like you coated it with a product. i use it on all interior and exterior plastic. My dad even uses it on his tires. its nice to have an all in one product like that...i use it on my tonneau cover also. truck looks like a million bucks after wards. i highly recommend everyone try it out.

Do these products also work for the rubber surround on the side windows? My 04 Explorer and 05 SCREW are both looking pretty bad on the moldings and I was wondering what to buy to bring the black back and keep it black. I tried armor all once but it didn't last at all.

i have not done it on this truck...but on other vehicles i have actually use prestone spray silicone lubricant. used it on rubber hoses and plastic engine parts, door seals. it may be worth a try.

On the trim and rubber weatherstriping I'll rub it with silicon spray. Put some on a rag and wipe it down, gets the stuff lookin new in one or two wipes.
