anybody fimiliar with emmisions?

i just got a 91 F150 300 the only thing that i'm worried about is right after the second cat there's nothing i was just going to put a turn down on it pointing down and out the pass. side, but if i have to put a muffler on then i will anyway will my truck pass an emissions test with no muffler?

Muffler's have no effect on emissions, dont worry. Put a turn down.

I have seen some glass pack mufflers in a summit racing catolg that can connect to your headers of just your cats, with a turn down on the end of it for around $20 depending on length.

As long as there is some kind of pipe with no holes in it for the testing station to stick the sniffer in you should be fine. If they do that in Baton Rouge

On a 92 they arent gonna check much, but if i were you i would go either get a glasspack or a CherryBomb(AutoZone carries then startin at $20) and stick it on. If you dont have a muffler they might not pass you.

I am worried about emsions also i know with my 04 dakota the station did not want to pass me b/c i did not have anyhing after the 28inch thrush glaspack I knew one of the guys so he just gave it to me but what about me my emisions question is that i have a 90 F-150 with the 300 EFI.

if i were to drop in the 351W with a carb that they stoped making 2 years prior what would they do about my not passing the emisions test
or would they even do that
