First --what marks did you use to set the timing?? "I moved the crank pulley so one of the 3 marks lined up with the 12 degree mark " The crank damper/pulley has two marks-- a notch and a thin scribed line. The thin line is the correct mark. The timing cover marks are on a plate bolted to the timing cover and it is on the passengers side. There is no crank position sensor. Check to make sure all the wires are connected and that you didn't disconnect one by accident somewhere. Remove the No1 plug and check to make sure the piston is on the firing stroke (both valves closed) at T.D.C. and check your timing marks to make sure you don't have the dist 180 out. The rotor should point AT the No1 wire terminal.
