I have a 98 f150 v6 stick ,and it vibrates starting at about 55 mph, but only when I give it gas. I quess it started a couple days after I put chevron fuel injector cleaner in. Oh i have 122,000 miles. I have not taken it anywhere yet yet I really hope its easy. Can someone give me some goodnews please.

This sounds exactly like a problem I had with a 94 F-150. Starting at about 60 mph the truck would vibrate badly when power was applied. Replacing the universal joints on the drive shaft fixed the problem. Just something you might think about.

 

i had a friend with a older ford truck that his overdrive was messing up. you may want to check into it as well.

It does no matter what gear im in though.

 

I have a 97 f-150 ext. cab 4x4 and had the same problem. Mine was a little bit more major, my transsmission to transfercase bolts were loose and causeing a bad vibration only when on the gas. I don't know if yours is four wheel drive but you mmight want to make sure everything is tight. Hope it helps you!
