Installed new rear rotors now brake pedal pulsates

So I installed new rear rotors, after test driving the Expedition the brake pedal started to pulsated when I applied the brake. I did not install new brake pads because the pads were changed 2 months ago. There are no codes, the ABS light does not come on. I was hoping someone had an idea as to what was going on. 1998 Expedition 4x4 EB 112000 miles.

Whenever installing new rotors you must use carb cleaner on them pror to installing to remove protective coating, nothing will remove mut carb/ fuel injector cleaner

Did you open the lines? If so, you might have some air in the system.

Brake cleaner will remove the film on the rotors. Do not use carb cleaner... it is petroleum based, and will leave oil on your rotors.

A light brushing with sand paper (fine grit) will remove it too, but you have to be careful not to score or make the rotor uneven. I'd leave that as a last resort.

how bout taking that same sandpaper and sanding the back of the rotor and hub where it mates to get a fresh mating surface. any gunk on there and the rotor will not sit flush and will pulsate.

90° air angle grinder with ScotchBrite pads does all of that with ease!! Also very good for removing gasket material on heads, intakes, oil pans, etc... If you have a compressor, you should get one for your toolbox!!
