Black wrinkle paint for valve covers???

I blasted my valve covers for a repaint (tall finned alum) and can't find that black wrinkle paint anywhere. When I asked at Napa the young man asked what kind of car and what year! Anyway, 2 parts stores and 2 hardware stores, no luck. Did they quit making that stuff?

Heck no and you should be able to find it. Maybe try a local auto body and paint store. The one I use has a full rack of rattle can paints with everything. Eastwood is always an option but should be availabe local. Hmmmmmm. G.

VHT by manufacture is what I use that's available in any good parts store.
Called Wrinkle Plus coating, SP-201 Black. I believe you can get it in different colors. On finned valve covers like old Cal Customs, sand the fins with 180 grit wrapped around a sanding block or wood. Paint, let set up not dry then with a rag soaked in lacquar thinner wipe the fins lightly. You'll have black covers with aluminum fin tops exposed, looks great. Just a suggestion.
