How much

I have a 2000 f150 4x4 with a 5.4L engine. My owners book saying I can tow max 7400lbs is this correct?

The owners manual isn't too terribly accurate in telling you specifics because the owners manual is very broad. It covers every truck with all possible options. The options that YOUR truck has is what determines your payload.
