Will be there Fri/Sat/Sun (as a photographer only). Though I'm not covering the event for any mags, I am always on the lookout for feature vehicles so don't be shy!
Looks like Special Events has not yet posted the event schedule online, but here is the latest info:
http://www.familyevents.com/eventinfo.asp?id=53
Looks like the Big Dawg, Bigfoot, Nitemare and others, but it appears that they don't have a monster truck show on Sunday, so be sure to be there on Saturday for that (think it's about 7 or 8pm)!
See you guys there! Maybe we could arrange a small get together and all root on Big Dawg and Bigfoot (Ford's rule, right!!)
I think if any FTE'rs will be on the grounds with their trucks they should speak up and make sure they have a pic in their gallery so we all know who to look for!!

Will be there for the weekend. Looking for feature rigs (yes, I got a call). I'll be looking for feature vehicles for national truck magazines. To make sure I pay the bill, however, I'll be doing work for the "official photographer" of the event. Stop by the trailer and say "hello".
Thanks,
Randy
Thanks,

been gone a long time... sorry fellas i could have been a big help for the jamboree in lima, considering i'm only about 15 miles away from there... next year if anyones interested, i can get us all show in shine passes, so we can enter our trucks. its alot cheaper to do that than pay the addmission fee per person and its a 3 day pass and no worries about finding a parking spot a mile away. my truck is down, clutch went out. so i couldnt make the treck, mabey pull it with the taurus? anyway, i think its time for a paint freshining and mabey some chrome on the motor...naaa to the chrome but paint for sure. as i said...next year things will be different. looking forward to hearing from you'all and support the chapter store... especially the calender, i think december is a pretty good month.
later and hopefully back to regular posting,

Hey, I had a great time there too. Yes, the weather sucked...doesn't it always for the Lima Jamboree?
It was nice to meet Ray, his boy, Ed and his buddy (Gramps?). Thanks for the hat, Ray! That's a good lookin' logo on there, boy!
Congrats to Ed for his plaque, too! I believe it was winner of the Street Class! He was quite shocked and very honored to have received it!
Ed, did you guys ever get some of those photos? I hope they turned out OK. You should post it to your gallery if you got it!
I'm only sorry I couldn't spend more time with each of you guys since it was a "working show" for me.
Yeah, I photo'd a few Chebbie's and probably even a Mopar or two. But make no mistake, Fords ruled the weekend! That 6-door, canary-yellow Superduty was the biggest -and hardest to miss- truck there!!
I only remember seeing one truck that had four-wheel steering and it too was a Super Duty.
I may be at the Indy and Bloomsburg events as well, but I'm gonna try not to work so hard and take some time to enjoy the show!!
I do, however, get to do some cool stuff like be out on the infield for the monster truck shows and the mud drags!

Hanging out at a truck show with your friends and meeting new friends is always better than working, no matter what the weather is. We had a great time there also, ate too much, didn't sleep enough, drank too much (is that possible??) and spent too much money.
It was very nice to meet Ray and Randy from the FTE site, it's more fun when you can identify a person's face when you are communicating by mail. I would like to thank Randy for going to great lengths to get Rod and mine truck's photographed together, The pic turned out awsome. We each bought one, I will try to get it posted to my gallery next week when I return. I am going out of town this week end and next to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes.
Yes, Randy your correct I was VERY suprised and honored to receive the two awards that I did. The first one was for "BEST FORD" and the second was for the "BEST FULL SIZE TRUCK" 1974-1997 in the street class. Finially all the long nights and hard work pays off. Hope to see some more of you FTE members at the Indy Jamboree in Sept. -Ed
