Headlight Removal on 92 F250
Hi Everyone,
I have a 92 F250 and I need to replace a headlight (not just the globe, but the whole unit), but I can't figure out how to get it out of the truck. I can see the screw that hold the headlight in, but I can't get the pretty chromed plastic light surround off, to get to the screws to remove the headlight
Can anyone give me some clues as to what I'm doing wrong?
Many thanks

Passanger side...
Remove battery.
remove the two 10mm nuts behind turn signal lights
remove the two screws on top holding the trim on
remove electrical connections
remove turn/corner signal assembly
access to headlight lense - remove (I did so by just unscrewing the adjusters)
Drivers side is the same as the passanger side except you've got to move the coolant/washer tank. Theres 1 11mm bolt holding it on, two hoses connected at the bottom, 1 electrical connector. You can unbolt it, and sit it ontop of the air box. I took a tiedown strap I had nearby and wrapped it around the tank and the hood spring to hold it ontop of the airbox. That way I didn't have to remove any hoses and deal with fluid leaking everywhere and it would hold the tank out of my way.
Getting the lights back in is the same as the removal, the 10mm nuts on the back of the turn signals are a pain to put back in. I used a 10mm deep socket, put the nut in the socket, and put a dab of grease on it. That holds the nut in the socket, and you can just screw it on. Don't go too tight, just snug it past finger tight.
