Swap or add DVD in place of VCP?

Just bought a 01 Exped EB. It has the factory 6 CD changer and VCP in the center console. I would like to swap the VCP with a DVD player. I notice on the screen unit, there is a button that changes between AV1 and AV2. Question, are there a set if unsued AV inputs? if so, where can I hook up? Also do wireless headphones come with the VCP system, or do you have to purchase separately. If they come with, I will hit up the previous owner for them.

thanks

The family was out town this long weekend, and being the curious engineer that I am, decided to disassemble the video player and overhead display unit. Interesting results. The video player has no RCA type outputs, just a big multi-pin (8-10) connector. I could probably cut the ends off an RCA cord and splice them in, but decided that was too much effort.

Upon dis-assembly of the overhead display unit, I discovered the AV2 inputs. They are located on the front of the unit, under a dark smoke plastic piece. It is about 1/2" x 2" or so. It doesn't look removeable, but it is.

I don't want to see the cords from the DVD player, so I will splice in the RCA cables from the backside and not use the front-mounted jacks, then route the cables thru the headliner and down to the console.

This display unit has a built in FM modulator to play over the factory radio system. The video system and radio are independent of each other.

How hard the monitors to put into the back of a seat? I don't think I can bring myselft to cut a hole in the back of a leather seat.

thanks

There are some adapters that use the headrest posts as a point to mount the screens. Check out Cruthfield.com

Don't cut the seats it never looks right and makes the headrest no as comfotable and if you screw up you need a new 1,500.00 seat cover
