Was it worth it?

Hi I got a free intake and carb for my 390. the intake is a "edlebrock performer 390" and it has a holly carb of unknown size and i have no clue if it works.
is this intake any good? would it work for what i'm planning on doing with my engine, (bore it out 0.30. a better cam, i'd like to get some good power out of this engine as its going in a 75 F 250 4x4) i'm getting a head of my self. is there any possibility there could be anything wrong with this manifold? like cracks or warpage?

That is a bad deal all round. Pack it up and mail it out to me at zip 80128, I'll be sure to dispose of this garbage for you.

The Performer 390 is the same as the Performer (so I've been told on this site). It's basically the same thing as the stock 4bbl intake except much lighter.

I used a Performer 390 on my 390 build and it ran up to 6000RPM, with a noticable drop-off after 5000RPM or so.

People on here recommend the Edel RPM for high-revving builds, but it's perfect for a motor that won't see above 5000 too much.

NICE!

On my build there was a Performer and it had a small hole in the water passage next to the thermostat area. Check it over real good and be sure. I didin;t see the hole until I thoroughly cleaned the manifold. Free, it cannot get any better

Free is good, I did get some really good deals on my intake and carb, but still they werent free. 600cfm is perfect for a 390, you lucked out.
