Parking brake over adjusting?

Howdy,

I have a 93 F250 7.3L diesel, and the parking brake over adjusts its self about every two weeks or so. When it does it I have to pull over and back the brakes off or it will start smoking the brakes. I have pulled the rear wheels off and looked at the brakes and everything looks ok. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I trashed mine ...what a piece of crap engineering that thing is.....Like how often do you have to crawl under your truck to adjust the ebrake cables? Oh, ya....it's better to smoke the back brakes and kill 300 bux worth of drums so some lazy #$%$#@!#$%^^ doesn't have to get out a wrench every couple of years......

Having said that, you might get away with new return springs on the cables...(they're inside the rear drums)
