Will Lincoln Navigator Wheels Fit F150?
I am considering buying a set of used 03-04 Lincoln Navigator chrome wheels for my 04 F150 Lariat 4x4.They are 18x8 inch 6 lug 135mm.Does anyone know what size width the Lariat wheel is and will the 18x8 6 lug 135mm fit my F150.I have the stock 18 inch now and I do not think any larger size will fit without rubbing. My stock 18 inch BFG's already rub on my Volant Ram Air Scoop tube I installed, when I turn hard.I will appreciate any advice, suggestions or knowledge you might share.Thank You for your help!

Ruckus, what size are your BFG tires now? When I was considering buying the Navigator rims for my STX, the problem was that most of them were 32 inches tall. The rims are the same size as the Lariat 18 rims I bought, but rather than the 265-60-18 tires, they tended to 275-65 or even 285 stock tires. This would have geared me up too far. The stock 255-75-17 tires were 30 inches tall. The 265-60-18 tires were 30.6 inches tall. Tire rack has the info, but it is wrong in several places.
So anyway, it's not the 18 inch part that matters, just the tire size. You can get tires for the 18 from 28.5 inches tall, to ?
So the important thing is your tire size now.

Sorry, I should have included exact tire size in post. The tire size is P275/65R18 114T M&S BF Goodrich Rugged Trail TA (They sure do not look rugged?).Anyway, does the Lincoln Navigator rim have the same width and inset and offset etc. as Lariat?I wish I knew more of the appropriate wheel lango/terms to ask/use.Thanks for your help, I sure do appreciate it.

Ruckus, the 275-65R18 is the new tire? What is the size of the tires on your truck as we speak?
The rims are the same offset, center, etc.
Just FYI for anyone reading this,
the 275 is width in millimeters. 25.4 mm to an inch, so the tire is roughly 11 inches wide (10.80
The 65 is the 'ratio' of how high the rubber on the tire is, to the width.
Skinny is larger number, fat is lower number.
The 275-65 is, on paper, 7 inches of tire high. So in theory it is 7+7+18=32 inches high. Various tires vary a lot...
So a 265-60-18 like I run would be on paper 6.2 +6.2 + 18= 30.4 inches high.
Actual is about 30.6, so you see it's pretty close.
R just means radial,
18 is the 'nominal' rim diameter.
The 255-65-17 tires I removed would work out to 10 inches wide
6.5 inches high, so 6.5+6.5+17=30 inches. Actual was about 30.2

Chris, First of all I want to Thank You for always helping us out wherever you can.I commend you for your efforts. Now, as far as my tire size, I went out and wrote the size down and it is P275/65R18 114T M&S BF Goodrich Rugged Trail TA.I also looked a little deeper and found that the Lariat rim is 7.5 inches wide and the chrome Lincoln Navigator rim is 8.0 inches wide. Do you think the 1/2 inch difference in width will effect the inner wheel well clearance on front end?Like I said earlier, the inside edge of the tire is rubbing my Volant Ram Air Scoop tube now.Do you think as long as I use the same size tire I will be okay or see no change? Thanks Again!

Ruckus, I have to suggest you don't get the rims.
They would fit fine on any other truck, but the extra half inch will put it about an extra 1/4 inch into the air intake. That is based on my own assumption that it is rubbing the air intake on the side of the tire when you turn fully to the right.
If the tire is touching at the top, the .5 inches will 'lower' the tire about a tenth of an inch, max.
The center/offset, etc. on the Nav rims work fine on the F-150, but again, you have a special case.
I know you posted about the air intake not clearing, and I will take a longer look at that post, as I may be remembering it wrong. I am puzzled by the whole fit thing with your air intake, Vs. Tires. I wish we had a picture of the problem. Do you have any digital camera or scanner setup?
Give me a few minutes and I will reread your posts Re intake.

Yeah, the Lincoln moves the tire inboard another .5 inches. That would make it worse for you.
The same size tire, so there is no gain in your rather unusual situation.
Because of that darn tube, you have the only F-150 out there that can not increase it's rim size .5 inch...
I did not recall the kind of problem you had when I first posted.
If you have any way to e-mail me a pic, I can post it for more help on fixing the air intake.
Get that fixed and you can put any darn tires you want on your truck.
Sorry if I made this more confusing than it already was,
Chris

Chris, I may have given you bad info on Nav wheel width.I went to ebay looking at 18 in chrome 8 spoke Nav and Mark LT wheels and found that the Nav wheels are advertised 8.0 inches wide and the same style LT wheel is advertised as 7.5 in wide.I am not sure without further checking what size rim width either one of the Lincoln wheels are.Do you have any suggestions as to how I could find out for sure? Thanks Again!

That rim does show as .5 inch wider, all of it on the inside... Not so good for you.
Would fit fine on most of the trucks, of course.
I did see some tires/rims with M pilot tires, nice. but still the same size.
And the numerous 255/70/18's are not anywhere near as wide.
But I understand you to say you don't want to change tire size.
I wish I understood the fit problem better on your air box. I have only messed with my Brute Force, and a K&N intake, on these F-150's and since both of those were 4.6 engines, I am afraid I can't visualize your fit problem.
Maybe someone else can help here?
