Interior paint question

Looking to paint my new tripple pillar mount for the gauges. Can't seem to find the exact color to match my interior plastic. Any sites out there that sell one ? I tryed to give the DE code # (Grey) found on the inside of the door but nobody can seem to match it or cross reference it.

I found a perfect match from Summit Racing Equipment. My interior is the light
gray color (2003). The brand is VHT and the part number is VHT SP979 and is
about $8.00. This paint is made for plastic and looks great.

You can also get painted pillars from this site's sponsor, www.Motorhaven.com, perfect match plus it comes with enough touch-out paint to practically repaint the entire unit.

Don't know what year truck yours is but they just released the Pebble interior color for my '05 about two weeks ago, I had to take mine back in and have the gauge pod repainted when they finally released them.

When I got my pillar mount and gauges, I couldn't wait another week the get the VHT paint. I wanted to put the gauges in that weekend.

So I called all the auto parts places in the area and couldn't find the VHT Grey. I went to Pep Boys and found some Plasti-kote engine enamel called "New Ford Grey" I was desprate so I bought some with a can of Rust-Oleum Plastic Primer (White).
I get home and wipe down the pillar with paint thinner, several thin coats of plastic primer and then the "test", I did a first coat and let it dry. Took it over to the dash and it was an exact match. The pillar and gauges look great. and it was tough, its a tight fit to mount the pillar and it took some abuse without scratching, I was impressed.
My neighbor was so impressed by the color match he barrowed the paint to do his plastic case for for his BD monitor, he has the same gray in his F350.

Be carefull if you add any items that stick to the dash. I put a XM MyFi in a few weeks ago and used the alcohol wipe that comes with the mounting kit. Started to remove the black off the dash by the radio If I ever remove the XM, I hope I can touch it up with the Ford interior spray. I've used it before on my 88 Mustang with good results.
