Hello FTE members. I am new to the group and have a 1952 F1 that is just getting re-wired for 12V. Has original V8 flattie and am building another motor for it that will be the usual street rod type motor. Runs and drives, doing some improvements, and plan on keeping it for the duration, whatever that is. I am in S.Dakota on the Neb border where there are still a lot of flatheads laying around.

I am building a 1951 ford flathead V8 block for my 1952 F1. It has a 4" merc crank w/21A rods, floating bearings, and .040+ merc pistons. I am getting a custom cam from Delta Cam of Tacoma, Wash, and using adjustable lifters. I have an Offy super dual with Stromberg 97's I rebuilt. It will have Offy heads that I think are 8.5 to 1 if I recall, they are at the machine shop being checked out. I have a nice pair of old Fenton headers that will hook up to steel-pack mufflers. I am rebuilding a 39 toploader now (it has a column 3-sp now) for it. The pickup has been converted to 12V and will be a mild street rod. I have some pictures available.

later,
