for the 1981 300 6cyl I found H3 is a limited slip 4.11 gear ratio On the 1981 302.It could be a misprint on the door sticker. I can find a 1980 code H2 as a 3.50 Ford 9 inch. I show code 22 only in an 8.8 inch rear 1983 and newer and a 4.10 ratio. You probably have a 9 inch, so more then likely you have the 3.50 rear. Can you get the info of the rear end of the 1981 302 we would be able to confirm what it is.

The H22 is seperated into H2 and 2, H2 indicating a 3.50 geared limited slip 9" rear end, and 2 indicating that the front is also equipped with a limited slip.

Nope, same thing, different name.
Post up the axle code. If it's a letter and a number, it's LS, if it's 2 numbers, it's open.
