Smile Ready For Your Air Conditioner Yet??

It seems like it was JUST winter. But, now I am thinking about putting in my air conditioner.

My upstairs gets hot but the main floor stays fairly cool. Hmmm...another project to get done.

Do you have a forced air furnace?
Block off the cold air return on the main floor and close the vents in the basement and on the main floor and open the upstairs vents. Turn the furnace fan on long enough to cool the upstairs. That's one little trick I do before full A/C season.

My truck doesn't have a basement. You 4x4 guys customize everything!

On the serious side...I'm looking for a decent AC shop in the east end of Toronto/Pickering. I want to get the AC in my truck connected and will need some hoses made up. Any recommendations?

Well, I couldn't stand it any longer. I put in the window air conditioner today. During the summer my main floor stays fairly cool. Now with the A/C upstairs all will be good. Well, except the extra $100 or so it adds to my hydro bill every two months.

Ok, I have a bad feeling about this summer. I think it is going to be really hot! <img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_47.gif' border=0></a>

I don't like to be really hot in the summer (mostly because I work outside all day and want to come home to a cool home). So I went out and bought two more air conditioners.

What?!!? TWO more. Yes two more. BUT, one was for my brother who lives at home still. I put another one in our bedroom for keeping cool at night. Now if only I could figure out a way to wear one when I am climbing trees all day!

How's you're hydro bills?

There's some talk about how close we're coming to brown outs & possibly black outs.
Ive been setting the A/C at 80 during the day & 77 at night. I tried leaving it off a few times but the temp. in the basement would get up to 80 and would take 3 to 4 hours to cool off enough to attempt sleeping.
.
djd67.....Still got snow??????????????? PLEASE ship some south will ya?

Haven't got my recent hydro bill yet. I am thinking it should be around $150 ($75 times 2 months). We shall see.

-Matt

P.S. And yes it is still hot! But, at my new job all the trucks have air conditioning!
