World Cup Soccer

Ok, Are you guys getting primed for 2006 World Cup?
If you live in Europe, are you planning on going? Or will you be glued to the TV for 2 weeks?
Is your Country in it?
Do you care?

I wish I could go, but I have to study
Australia isn't in it - we have to go through a wildcard entry through South America, and we always happen to get beaten by them...

Can't wait though.

Thumbs up

Same here, I can hardly wait
I reckon club soccer is a bit better than the world cup and that also can be a cruel game sometimes
I follow Arsenal because I love the way they play
Cheers
(oh my god its my second post already)!))))))

4porkchop,

Welcome to FTE, the best Ford Truck site on the Web.
Check out our Guidelines:

And the Read First: notices at the top of each forum.

I like club soccer as well, but due to the time difference I find it a little hard to follow it that well (I am a Arsenal fan as well!!!).
I do enjoy it how sometimes the underdogs can get through (Korea last World cup...), but like you said, it can be cruel.

Anyhow, see you around...

Well, the UNBELIEVABLE just happened.
Australia managed to beat Uruguay in a penalty shoot out...
Was a nail biting 2 matches.

We are in the world cup for the 2nd time in history YAY
Managing to get there by beating another country that has been to the world cup 10 times, and won it twice just makes sweeter.

It was a matter of points, so all the later games were important, Paraguay, Peru and Ecuador.

Thats no good at all.
Is Venezuela as soccer "mad" as the rest of South America?

I actually kind of feel sorry for Uruguay, soccer could be qualified as a religion there.

Lately people has become football mad around here, and there are also big colonies of italians, portuguese and spanions in Venezuela so they all support those teams so there are big parties and celebrations all around, really nice, also we support other south american teams, mostly Brazil and a little later Argentina.

Well, I think now is appropriate for a "BUMP".

Gosh I wish the timezone difference with Europe wasn't as bad as what it is...

My country, Serbia & Montenegro, did qualify for the world cup, but we got worst group - Holland, Argentina and Ivory Coast.

Time zone is perfect, majority of games start in the morning.
