Thumbs down Recommendations for mechanics

I'm very disgusted with my present mechanic that I use for my 1983 Econoline Van. It seems like he's having problems trying to repair my older van or to busy to care anymore! I live in Woodside Queens and if anybody in the Queens area know of mechanics that are still repairing older vehicles without cringing, and are very good, drop me a line. Most thing I do by myself, but there are occasions where I either don't have the time or the knowledge to deal with the problems. Even the Ford dealership in my area sounds like he doesn't want to get involved! In this society if you don't buy something new within a few years they treat you like crap and force you by poor service or admitted ignorance to buy something newer so they can fix it quick and blow it out the door! Sorry for the bad vibe, but after a while you only can take so much baloney.

Thanks, Arnie
