Fellow FTE member needs help

Guys, I Need Your Help!
A customer (and fellow FTE member) just picked up his 2005 F-250 V10/ 6-speed Supercab from me. He was just a few miles from the dealership when the check engine light came on and it started to run rough. Brought it back here and found the #10 coil to be bad. Replaced it and everything seemed fine. Customer just called, he's halfway home and the truck is running poorly again, but no C/E light- yet.

Okay, this guy lives in central NJ, has driven older trucks in the past that he's worked on himself. We're looking for a Ford dealer in NJ (that he can take the truck to when he gets home) for more diagnosis. Can anyone here recommend a dealer in that area, or at least give me the names of service departments we should avoid? If you're not comfortable posting an "avoid-this-place" warning, then private-message me the details.

We've been delivering trucks through the FTE Purchase Program for a year, and this is the first one that the customer has had a problem with before he got home. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Well, I too am too far south to be of any help, but just in case, avoid chapman ford. they gived run around all the time. If it were me I would take it to gentelini ford in woodbine, thats where i got my truck from and take for services and no problems with them at all, but that prob too far south for you northerners

a thought on bringing to toms ford for service. do not call to make an appointment or tell them it was fixed before. just go there around 2 pm, pull into the service bays, and act dumb. something like this: i just picked this truck up yesterday, and was going to costco, and it started to run bad about a mile up the road. can you look at it please?? the girls will get someone to look at it, they get slow after lunch. everyone is there for opening, but afternoon is the time to go. they are also there late. i think it is 5 or 7 pm. when my crown vic lost a coil, i got there at 3 pm, and i was going home with it by 4:30.

Keyport? That's... exit 128ish?

Right around the corner from me (exit 131) is Bell Ford. They've been very good to me, not over-diagnosing problems that don't exist. I'd recommend them.

Bell Ford
1200 Route 27
Colonia, NJ
732-388-6900

The way to get there is parkway north or south to exit 131, follow the jughandle to the traffic light, and make a left onto route 27/Lincoln highway. Follow a short distance to "5 corners", an interesetion with Norwood Autoparts on the right far corner.

Continue, with the railroad tracks on your right about another mile, give or take. The dealership is on the left. If you hit route 35 (traffic light) you've gone too far.

I bet he has another coil that fried. When we bought our 99 CV we had trouble the first month, replacing coil after coil. Seems when one goes, the others follow suit for some reason.
