i have a 351 m with the edelbrock performer 400 manifold ,is the firing order different than stock firing order ,i have read somewhere that it has a 180 degree firing order if anyone has info on this please let me know , thanks for all your help guys MIke

 

The firing order is not different. The 180 refers to the design of the manifold and where the fuel mixture goes once leaving the carb.

 

thanks tasyklair, always glad to learn new stuff ,found out what ailed me ,the mechanic when replacing the distributor did not put it in TDC before he put the new one in so the placement of the wires on the cap were off,a bit of news that i wished i knew before i had this problem ,so after finally pulling the #1 plug and getting TDC i then put the wires they should be and marked the cap for the #1 wire,started right up like it should ,still i want to thank everyone here ,i have learned alot by reading for on end and learning the ins and outs of the truck, seems i am not the only that loves these trucks like i do Mike
