Anyone in the neighborhood have a hood they'd be willing to part with for a reasonable price? I hate to pay $100 and then have to paint the thing...

Have you tried Brandywine Auto Parts (junk yard) down by Waldorf? They're at Rt. 301 and Rt. 5 intersection North of Waldorf.

 

I haven't been to Maryland yet, but I checked their website and they have them. I did visit their yard in Lorton, VA (formerly known as AAAACO). They listed two hoods available for $80 each, but they weren't worth taking off. One was dented, the other had rust that was not yet through the panel, but would be impossible to stop.

I'll probably have to go to one of the MD Brandywine yards. Thanks for the suggestion.
