New Intake and Throttle Body spacer

I have a 03 F-150 4X4 and was wondering if there is any company besides K&N, Air Raid or anything other than big name companys. I wanted to support the little man. Any suggestions??? If not give me your suggestions on what i should put on there??

if you are looking for better gas milage, then the spacer and intake are good. if you are wanting performance, i would skip the spacer. i had one and pulled if off. it did not add any power from what i can tell. i added a 75mm throttle body and got a lot more power. with spacer you can't go with larger throttle body. hope this has been a little help.

There's a bunch of "no name" intake kits on e-bay. They are alot cheaper, but I wouldn't use them on my truck. I have the airraid intake and spacer, I'm satisfied with it. Just make sure you don't over-oil the filter when cleaning it. I've checked the inside of the intake tube and it's spotless, so you know it seals well.

BBK makes a good 75mm throttle body that sells for around $200. I helped a friend install one and it was not all that hard. If you have the right tools it shouldnt take longer than a hour at the most. My freind seems to think that it gave him better throttle response and more power ant the higher rpms in 2nd and 3rd gear.
Hope this helps

You can find BBK 7mm throttle bodys on www.summitracing.com they are around $200 i think and i installed one on my friends f-150. The installation is not very hard. With the proper tools(which isnt much) it should take no longer than a hour. My friend says that it gives him faster throttle response and more power at the higher rpms in 2nd and 3rd gear.
Hope this helps

my dads got an 02 supercrew with the 5.4, he added the K&N FIPK and a Borla dual exhaust, the air filter alone gave him better acceleration, but if your sucking in all that air and cant get it out quick enough, then its not that effective. so when he put the exhaust on it, it was like night and day with power, not really loud either...its gives it a nice throaty sound and on the highway he gets between 2-4 mpg better. hes got the 3.55 and doin 80 hes getting 14-15 and thats towing a 2000 # trailer or not, sometimes goes down if your hittig headwind with the trailer, but while doin 60-65, the best he got was 21 mpg......and from whaat furrby said, i think ill look into the throttle body for him, speaking of that, what engine do you have furrrby?? if its the 5.4, do you think you can tell me the part number and that so i can find it? thanks
