Blower motor clogged (2000 Explorer)

Some years back a bunch of tissue was in the A/C blower squirrel cage fan, which reduced the volume of air and made it sound muffled. I clean it and all went well. I figure a tissue might have gotten sucked up into the access behind the glove box. Well, this time it's steel wool and insulation type stuff. I figure a squirrel got in there somehow. Rather than pulling the blower motor out a little to clean the cage (a time consuming endeavor), I cut the plastic grate out behind the glove box, which prevented me access but not the sguirrel. Once removed I could stick a vacuum attachment all the way in there and is a quick fix, all is well. Maybe somebody will benefit from this.
