a/c compressor and belt removal on 6.0???
My brothers a/c clutch came apart on his 6.0 . (I have a 7.3 which is a breeze to change) The pulley was froze on the a/c kept the engine from cranking. After we discovered this we tore in to remove the pump and put on a new belt..... Now we need help on how to remove the belt, looks like we have to disassemble the whole front end of the engine.
WE started and got hung up on how to remove the fan clutch as there is little room to work. Any help??
Any one know where we can get a good price on a new compressor?
Also how hard is it to change the A/C compressor? Any do' or dont's?
Have any other of you 6.0 guys had problems with the A/C compressor/ clutch going out? This one only had 'bout 99,000 miles on it (2003 model F-350).
Thanks for any help....Really like this forum

The big thing is if you do not have the means(tools, equipment) to recover the refrigerant and properly service/install an A/C compressor, you will probably want to take it to someone who can. You need to be able to leak check the system, evacuate(also check evacuation), and acurately charge the system.
