Talking 2.8 or 2.9 better for twin turbo?

So i know this is a truck page but only place so much posted...
I bought a sierra with no engine, car is like it has never been driven...
So my project is 2.8/2.9l v6 twin turbo and rebuild whole motor with good quality parts...
What i want you guys to do is tell me all good and bads from these motor and which on i should use for my project...

what kind of turbos are you gonna use?Is ita custom setup or Did the sierras come with them?I would suggest a 2.9.They have dished pistons and may handle the extra boost better.

I was thinkin two garret to3... i first have to find the motor to start looking for turbos...

the intakes on the engines are different too,2.9 have the plenum thing with the TB off to one side while 2.8s were carbed..more to consider....it you want the pressurized air into a colletor on top of thr intake manifold under a carb pulling the fuel through..like on a 2.8 or have the boost tubes going into the trottle body on a 2.9..as i dont believe that the top ends are interchangable.The gear drive timing on a 2.8 may be stronger too...
