help with 79 Bronco wiring harness!
Ok, I am repairing a previous owners hack job on my wireing harness in my 79 bronco custom. The problem I have right now is when i got the truck the owner ripped apart the dash, cut a bunch of wires trying to put in a cool stereo and thats what i got... anyways.. I am trying to get the wireing information for the power rear window switch (which has been snapped off the a/c control dash part. I have 4 real thick wires hanging down of the harness directly where the a/c heater controler is. I know there the rear window switch wires but I have no clue what wire is what.
There is a big black one (ground) and then a white and two purples? What are they supposed to be? and if anyone can explain the process of what wire does what when the switch is flipped up / down that would be awesome! Since i don't have a switch to use I may modify a fuel tank switch for the job.
Thanks a ton for any responses!

One should hot When the Ignition switch is on. Check with test light or volt meter
One Should be ground all the time. Again check with light or meter
The other two go to the window motor.
The switch changes polarity going to the motor giving you your up and down directions.
Once you have located your hot and ground feed wires, you can connect one of the two remainig wires to hot the other to ground switching them will make it go in the opposite direction.
I hope this helps
