Help with model year. Flat front cab
Out riding quads with some new friends yesterday at a new location and noticed this old Ford pickup with a flat front cab sitting in a field. There are a lot of cars sitting there and I bet the guy would get rid of it for cheap ($100-200). It would be perfect for hauling an ATV as it was low to the ground and the tailgate looked like it serves as a ramp. It looks like maybe to be a late 50's early 60's style but I can't find any info. Body was straight with very little rust and all glass was ok. Just searched from 54-74 and found no pictures of what I saw. I have seen a Chevy Corvair pickup that looked similar. I'm sure it said FORD on the tailgate! Is this super rare or am I just looking in the wrong spot?
Sorry for posting on SuperDuty site but I don't what year or what "duty or series" this thing is and noticed lots of users here. Hope someone can help.
Thanks, Jerry
P.S. Where is the engine in that thing? Is it under the bed like in the Corvair?

That picture is of a 1965 Ford E100 Econoline Pickup. I think they were made from 1961 through 1967. Chevrolet and Dodge both had similar vehicles. (Dodge A100 and Chevrolet Corvair Pickups)

That's it
Yes, I believe that's what it is. Early 60's Econoline or E-100. I looked it up on the internet and pictures match what I found. Most of the info was listed with vans!? Guess it makes since because it's basically a van with half of the back removed. Still think it would be a sweet ride for my quad as long as the guy that ownes it doesn't think it's made of gold. It's just getting older and in worse condition sitting in his field. I'm sure my neighbors will love it in my driveway! Thanks for the info guys!
