Question '49 F-3 front brake shoes

I've been rebuilding my Uncle's truck, and have been able to find everything I 've needed but front shoes. I've searched the Archives (back 3 years) and see little about them. Any ideas? Thank you.

You can have them re-lined. Your break shoe steel and glued or riveted pads.
Chucks Trucks did shoes for my F-5 where no one else could. (203) 288 2769

Take them to a place that deals with big trucks and semi's. They should be able to reline (put new pads on) the shoes for you. Posted the same time as Reamer.

Are the front shoes on an F3 different than an F2? You might also check with NAPA as they often handle stuff for the older vehicles. That's where I got stuff for my 54 F250.

The front and rear shoes are the same for the 48-50 F-2 and F-3, part number 51A-2001. JobLot Automotive (www.joblotauto.com) has them for $59.95 per set (4 shoes). You can also buy the linings if you want to reline them yourself. Give 'em a call.

I have set in the bed of my truck fom joblot brand new. I switched to disk brakes and never used them. I would sell them for $35.00 plus actual shipping.

Sorry, I've been away. Thank you, all. I think the rear shoes are different between the F2 and F3. Just didn't see any fronts listed by any of our sponsors. Thanks again!
