Will the last 6 characters of your vin give you a build date?

This should most likely be asked in a specific vehicle forum and will probably be moved by the moderator, but I'll give you an answer anyway.

You can only get the model year from the VIN. The last 6 digits are the build sequence number. Build date of the truck is found on the door sticker. Engine build dates (at least for the 6.0 PSD) are a sticker directly on the engine.
