Six cylinder stalls at stop signs

Six cylinder stalls at stop signs
Howdy FTE's:
I am the proud owner of a 1982 Ford Bonco.
My Bronco came equipped with a six-cylinder engine, power steering, power brakes, AC, and a 4-speed tranny (w/ granny gear, of course.)
I purchased it about three months ago and it really ran like a dream.
It also fired right up in the morning.
Anyway, the engine has developed a stalling problem, which typically occurs when the brakes are applied and starting up in the morning is not so quick anymore.
I do not use the AC as it is non-functioning at this time.
Could the catalytic converter possibly be plugging up, maybe? I don't know.
What's a guy to do?
As usual, any helpful URL's, websites, advice, etc. is always greatly appreciated.

The first place to look is your carburetor. On my truck when the tank is near empty and I stop for a sign or red light the truck will stumble a bit. If your carburetor is in bad shape a re-build might be in order. Check the choke to make sure its getting power with the engine running, and double check the float bowl level.
Also wouldnt be a bad idea to check you plugs, wires, cap etc....

Problem is probably your brake booster... my 85 is an I-6 bronco... same setup as yours. Brake booster started failing and the only indication was the stalling you mentioned. Pull the line from the booster and cap it off temporarily, then test the brake/stall problem... if it goes away, change your booster. There might be other vaccuum leaks that would cause it, but I would start there.
I know this is a V-8 bronco but the Booster is in the same place, Drivers side, behind the master cylinder there on the fire wall. The Vaccuum line comes into the side of it there (About a 3/8" or 1/2" dia rubber hose), and should have a clamp on it. Remove it and plug the end of the hose with a bolt or something.
Good Luck!
