In the Army, we ran everything on the same fuel; helo's, tanks, tracks, trucks and Hummers. We'd all get fuel from the same truck at a fuel stop.

good old JP8, (jet propolsion 8) is what the army runs in any and everything diesel a lot better than the DFM (diesel fuel marine) that the navy uses.

I forgot which "JP" it was. The only other time I dealt with JP fuel is when we hit an underground line at Dover AFB. We weren't around long enough to smell it.

JP 8 is great, but I have seen JP 4 here in IRAQ. Want to burn a diesel engine up real fast. Watch, it burns way to hot and no lubs. Nothing a little oil wont fix.
