I waas just wondering what kinda of mileage everybody is getting, especially people with 351's, please give some details on your truck too
I get about 12-15 mpg with mine, it depends on where im driving or how im drivin, i got a c-6 with 350 gears and 33's, and some sidegapped plugs and no emmissions stuff
on a quiet night your can hear the chevys rusting away
Well, I've got a very similar setup, 85 F150 4x4 C6, 3.55 gears, 33" mud tires, but the best I've done in the past few months is 9mpg. For a while last winter I got a real consistent 5mpg, but that was due to a dead choke. The carb is pretty much dead, but she runs so I don't really care right now. I just got a 95 EB Bronco with a 302, so the 85 is gonna be more of a toy than a daily driver. Not sure how the emissions test here in MA will affect her, hopefully I won't have to sell her .

I get about 12mpg empty and about 9 pulling a gooseneck, so I think you are doing pretty good.
89 F-150 4x4 former EFI I-6 now carbed 351W, Edelbrock heads,cam,intake,carb.
MSD 6A, T-18 but looking for a ZF. 3.55's.
hey 85351ho...what do you think of the side gapped plugs, any power or mileage increases? it seems like an easy enough mod if it works. as far as mileage i get 12 - 15 with my 96 351 e4od ext cab sb with a moon visor, stock tires
hey guys I have a 85' F-150 4x4 with a C-6 transmission and a 351W HO. The motor has about 300k miles on it and I have 3.77 gears. Im getting about 10-12mpgs in town and on the highway. Im planning on rebuilding the engine soon so hopefully ill get better mileage.
83 F250 2wd with 3.54 rear axle & 8000 miles since being rebuilt -
cruising at 55mph, empty, is giving consistent 16.5mpg(US gals - but I'm in NZ) on open road driving.
AOD trans, but I seldom use OD due to hilly area.
