1999 F150 Northland Edition

I am new to this group and recently purchased a 1999 F150 Northland Edition. The truck is a 5.4L shortbox extended cab. It was originally sold in Minnesota but is now living in Wyoming. Does anyone own or know anything about this edition? There are no special notes in the owner's manual. Thanks. Todd

It's probalby just some aftermarket custom paint and interior stuff. Different regions have different "custom editions". What does your truck have? Got any pics?

It is probably just a marketing gimic...

My 2004 Heritage F150 is a "Northwest Edition" purchased in Montana.

The only thing special about it is an engine block heater. Big deal...

For nearly 15 years Ford has produced the "Northland" edition. I am from MN and after seeing this post yesterday I saw a couple in town. Besides the block heater they had a stronger standard battery and maybe one or two other things to make them more capable in the cold and rural north.

I guess mine is a redheaded stepchild. So far I only have a special coldweather battery and a sticker. Nothing else. At least its a Ford.

A guy at work bought a GM truck that had a cold weather package. It has a block heater, battery heating pad, and a 3 bladed clutch fan. Don't know if the Ford has a less efficient colling system or not..
