Yeti, lost my dad in 2,002, he was still riding bike at 80. Hollister in 47 and the 50th at 1997. Triumph and Matchless he rode. Dry lake speed runs in the late 40's, drag racer, all around nut. Back in the late 60's he coined Harley riders "walking grease rags". Now it's white collar big money bling thing. When going to a bike show on the BMW R90s when a Harley passes they would not even look at me, if I was on a Harley they would wave. Manufacture type snobs. We all ride for the freedom it gives us, not a "chrome show" on how much money was spent.
Yeti, talk softly when you say twisties, my 74 850 Norton Roadster will start spitting at me thru her Amals begging to play her exhaust love song to me, I can't resist, must go for a putt tomorrow. With 9 scooters some of them get jealous when the're not picked. Some days you feel like a highway trip, BMW, some days the twisties, Norton and some around town on the 600 Thumper Matchless. Manual spark advance, throttle twist equals a nice blue/yellow flame and big bang! Better than a tweet tweet horn and best done in a tunnel.
