My 2004 F250 diesel stalls and quickly recovers with a 1200 rpm surge when at idle. This can be dangerous when stopped at a red light. My dealer says its due to fuel with insufficient cetane rating. Is anyone else having this problem and does the dealers' reponse make sense?
I'm not having this problem and the dealers repsonse sounds like BS because he doesn't know how to fix it. Try another dealer. Did he tell you what the proper Cetane rating was?
