Anybody know the max size tire you can fit on the spare tire carrier inside the X?

Plan on putting 295/75/16's this week. Want to size up the spare as my X is a 4x4, but unsure if this tire will fit?

i put 285's on from the recall,fits in well, spare cover won't

 

I have the 285/75/16 tires from the recall also. I also stretched my cover to fit the 285 tire. I used a water spray bottle and wrapped the tire in clear plastic wrap. Took some muscle and time but it looks OEM now.

gaxton, I don't think there is enough "stretchability" for the cover to fit the 295, but I think you could get the tire to fit in the OEM location. It might take a little modification.
