Yes that is with 87 sunoco, citgo which are US refineries ,,,the 87 from Iran and Saudi are like a walmart / kmart brand. That's why there is such a diff in $ per gallon Shell,Mobil and some others are some of the imported fuels

nice trucks, but the only thing they wont pass is a gas station.
Tried it all...mileage stays the same.
Welcome to the club and enjoy.

With my 5.4 I've gotten a steady 13.5mpg with a mix of highway and city driving.
I thought the dual exhaust might help, but damned if I can't keep my foot of the go pedal cuz it sounds so sweet

Has anybody got experience with switching over to electric fans? Flex-A-Lite claims 2-3mpg increase in fuel economy with their product by reducing the amount rotating mass of the engine.

Yea, that is my next mod is a electric fan. I think this would mostly help throttle response but can't hurt fuel mileage.

One thing about a electric fan though is I want one that turns on at a certain temperature rather than stay on all the time. Does anyone know where I can find a good quality one like this?

My 5.4 supercab 2wd with stock the 4wd tire size 17", air force one, dual exhaust from the muffler. It's also a Lariat with the rhino bed liner and camper shell so it's probably a little heavier than most. I got 16.2 on the last trip driving 70mph and some city driving mixed in, this is with Havoline 5w-20. Before that got on average 14.5-15 with Motorcraft 5w-30, averaged 16.8 with M1 5w-30. Unless I need to go to home depot the only driving it sees is the highway to the farm and well the farm driving. For a truck I'm satisfied, but I don't drive it everyday and the car I do gets 45mpg or better saves me enough for the truck payment since the car is paid for. Eric

My 97 f150 x-cab 4.6 triton will give me 19mpg travelling to work and that's with a load of wood on return trip-higher mpg if I'm empty on return trip.Average speed is around 80-90 kmph(50-55mph) a few miles is also town driving. My truck has a manual transmission and I run regular gas,but if I can afford supreme($1.06/L) it gives me better mpg,and the truck has no mods except a leather box cover. The very best I ever got was 22.9 mpg on high test gas -supreme.

get rid of the fan clutch and go with electric fans and buy a Hyper Tech hand held programmer.

TB spacer...waste of money. I have a 98 f-150 4x4 with 103k miles. run stock tires, k&n air filter and use the Hyper tech programmer. I get avg 18-19 hwy. 13-15 city.
haven't done the electric fan thing yet, but i hear it makes a big difference.
