I've been bit by ignition so many times in my life that it really torques my nuts when it happens any more.
Man, it hurts right down to into the bone of your arm after having done it so many times.
Been a couple of years now. I am probably due for one.

Aftrmidnite is starting off with a positive reputation.
I had a car the starter would act up on. It might be two weeks, two months or an entire summer. Finally replaced the starter, but that didn't cure it. It quit on me and a friend pushed me back home. We decided to hand push it into the garage in a steady cold rain. I didn't want to mess with pulling, cleaning and reinstalling it, but knew it would be hard to come back out. I jacked the car up, put stands out. Slid under the car and pulled the starter. When I tried to slide back out couldn't move. Took me a few minutes to figure out what was wrong. I was frozen to the garage floor. I wiggled, it made it worse. No problem, I'll just unzip my Carhart, couldn't get to the zipper. Plus there was no place to go as I didn't jack the other side up. Finally heard my friend calling, his Wife got on him, and had sent him back to fetch me for dinner.

I know that pain, unfortunately. The worst part is that when I was a lad, my dad pulled the "hold this screwdriver" trick on me with a lawn mower. He then proceeded to explain how you always needed to look at what & where you were touching any engine when working on them. I will remember that lesson until the day I die...even though I was busily marveling at how it felt like it had blown my hand clean off, but it was oddly still there.

Even worse...I've shocked myself since then.
