DMV is sending letters out and also the places to go. I just got the letter for my car that expired in early 2004. My truck expired in jan 2005. I don't see myself getting a letter for a while. I'm not sure what they are doing for the diesel trucks mines a gasser.

I just got a letter to take my diesel in and get it done. When the truck was tested a few years ago I asked the tech what exactly is the purpose of testing the diesel? His reply was, I've never seen a diesel fail. I guess it's just for the money. If your worry is the new exhaust I can ask some questions if you want. An old friend of mine is doing testing in his used car dealership.

What about Gas engines? My truck is a 82 & I changed the engine to a 460 from a 351W. Is the 25 year old exemption still in place? My truck will soon hit 25. My 1973 Camaro does NOT need to go thankfully.

You are correct they are no longer putting the stickers on you windshield. They go by the registration sticker. No emissions then no registration sticker.

My truck just passed emissions with the air pump not hooked up to the cats (2 newer catco cats). It's not hard at all to pass.
