Need a ford dealer tech, Help!

I just got back from the dealer unfortunatly I had to leave it with them so they could finish fixing the rear doors. There is still a dimple in each door. What they did is aparently inside the door is a piece of mastic for rust protection. This is what causes the waves. They heat the door so they can get the mastic off. That is the fix, just taking the mastic off. Aparently it wasnt enuff cause all the waves were gone except 1 on each door. they are going to get a dentless repair guy to try to fix tomorrow. now I need the help with the fact that they say there is no flash update available for my truck. Ive read on this site that every one else is getting flashed. The delay in acceleration and hesitation is dangerous not to mention annoying. If a ford tech reads this I could use help with getting info. I cant beleave there isnt a update for my truck. Please answer and I will give you my vin. Thanks in advance

Well it might be possible that there is no flash update, but there is only one way to find out. You might want to check out the TSB list that I placed in the 2004-5 Forum sticky at the top of the page. TSB #04-21-14 appears to be what you are looking for (you can download the .zip files and see for yourself. Heck, its even a photocopied Ford page). If you believe this is what you need, I do not think that the dealer can turn down a request for a TSB.

Where is the TSB List?

Is anyone updating it?

Thanks,

It is located in the 2004-5 Forum Announcements sticky at the top of the page. Guess I dont have to ask if you have read it yet . It was compiled by the user I mentioned in the post, and I believe it is very up to date. I was told he would continue to watch for new TSBs to pop up, and update as necessary.

I dont see the sticky at the top of my page. Must be a layout issue on my side. I will find it.

Thanks,

Dave
